I am a graduate of the Cal State San Marcos Teaching Credential Program. I have a single subject credential in Mathematics to teach all levels. I also have a B.A. In Graphic Design and am certified to teach Art History and Graphic Arts. I also have experience in business and web design.
Experience
I have over 15 years of tutoring experience in addition to classroom teaching. I have previously taught Algebra 1&2, Geometry, Integrated Math 2, Business Math, and Math test prep at various local high schools. I currently work at an independent study school where I can assist student one-on-one and help them build their academic plan. I assist student with college and career planning, proper course selection, financial aid, test taking strategies, and more in addition to teaching math and supporting all subjects. Education is my life's passion and I strongly believe that success in mathematics contributes to a positive self-esteem. Watching a student feel success in school or calling to tell you they received their first A in math is priceless. I specialize in mathematics, but also support many students in maintaining their course load and assist with organization, planning, study skills and standardized test prep. My standard hourly rate is $50/hr and I'm open to adjusting rates for small group options. I encourage weekly consistency to ensure academic success.
