Experience
I'm a student at California State University in San Marcos, studying for my degree in computer science. It is my intention to then go on to graduate school to earn my master's degree in physics. Needless to say, I have a strong affinity for science and math. During my high school years, I tutored other students in math of all sorts. I liked tutoring, because I was proud of being able to help others be successful. Helping other students has always been a joy of mine. I am especially proud of my ability to encourage students who may not have been motivated originally to get to that point of self-motivation. I am highly proficient in math, and know that I am able to transfer that to others. I help them learn the concepts accurately. I don't have just one tutoring style, as I am able to adapt to what the particular student needs. I use my students' interests and abilities to help students gain a passion for learning. Since it's always been my habit to help my friends study and show them how to do problems, it makes sense that I enjoy being a tutor, and am good at it. I also enjoy reading, sports, hiking, and camping.
