This past semester, I was a tutor at Seendio, which is an online tutoring center for Chinese students planning to study abroad at American Universities. My job was to not only correct basic mistakes in students' reading and writing, but it was also to educate students on American culture and other essential components which are necessary to function in American society. Prior to attending college, I was a tutor as part of my requirements for being a member of the National Honors Society, in which I tutored high school students on a variety of subjects ranging from basic algebra to European History for 10 hours every semester. I continue to have an immense passion for tutoring because it allows me to not only give back to the community and support students in succeeding in their academic careers, but it also allows me to learn new skills which I develop every session.
