I recently finished my BS in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University, in Chicago. Next year, I am starting my PhD in Chemical Engineering at MIT. I am very interested in synthetic biology, or engineering bacteria so they make useful things. This combines many basic sciences (chemistry, biology, physics) with computer science and math.
Experience
I have tutored extensively at all levels of math and science. This includes high school, AP courses, and college level chemistry, biology, physics, math, and engineering courses. I excelled at these courses, and enjoy explaining difficult concepts in new ways. I hope to be a college professor, and tutoring is the perfect way to continue teaching along the way. I did well on the GRE. At Northwestern, I had the opportunity to teach a course, and enjoy helping others learn independently.

Hobbies
I am into sports, espcially basketball, running, and swimming. I root for the Packers, the Celtics, and the Cubs. I am originally from San Diego, and I spend a lot of time at the beach. I am an average surfer, and a hardcore boogie boarder. I can solve a rubiks cube, and I can balance up to 5 textbooks on my head. My favorite food is peanut butter because it's cheap, filling, and tasty. In high school I was on the basketball team, played the bari sax in the marching band, and was an Eagle Scout. In college I was involved in Men Against Rape and Sexual Assault, and also taught health classes at Chicago high schools.
